Finally a store to sell my art

I am proud to announce that I have a online store to sell my art.  I have planned for this day for a long time and finally it has arrived.  The store is located at shop.launi.com.

Lighting home projects

I finished a number of lighting projects this weekend at the homestead.  These projects have been hanging around for a long time.  +Sylvia Wormley wanted a ceiling fan over the kitchen table.  She also wanted the chandelier moved from above the kitchen table into the entryway.  When we bought the home there were some old T12 florescent bulb lights present. I replaced them with some cheap odd sized florescent bulbs soon after we moved in.  The replacement lighting did not last long so version one of the under counter lighting was replaced with version two lighting, LED lights. Old school switch plate covers.  I am also going to replace all of the old lighting switches from the old school plates and flippers.  When I painted the walls I painted the cover plates as a temporary measure for dealing with the faded bone colored fixtures. 602 miles

I wanted to have walked 600 miles by the end of April.  I fell short by 4 miles. so far this year I have walked 602 miles. Progress Summary Report for wormlelo Count: 134 Activities Distance: 602.63 mi Time: 156:31:07 h:m:s Elevation Gain: 7,554 ft Avg Speed: 3.8 mph Calories: 68,181 C Today as I walked listening to my Steely Dan radio station on Pandora I heard a song by the Eagles, Take It Easy.  When I was young  I  used to this phrase as my mantra, "Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy".  Lately I have had to start using it again so that I can ease up on a few of my self made goals for my exercising activities.  It is OK to have golas, but you do not have to be obsessive about meeting them all of the time.  Hence the phrase "Take It Easy".

Ground Hog Purple Daze

[caption id="attachment_1445" align="alignleft" width="200" caption="Andie MacDowell in L'Oréal ad"] [/caption] I am working on another drawing.  I decided to write this blog entry as I was drawing and then publish the entry when I finish the drawing.  This drawing is another in my Oh My Girls series.  I chose a picture of Andie McDowell from a L'Oréal ad. I started the drawing the first weekend after returning from a visit to my sister's home in New Jersey for the holidays.  I had the blizzard of 2010 fresh on my mind when I was looking through the September 2010 edition of O magazine looking for inspiration.  When I saw Andie's picture I selected it and started to draw.  I had Ground hog Day in my NetFlix queue so I set the movie to start and went to my work.
