This weekend I am continuing the demolition of the master bathroom. I finished ripping out the sheet rock from the closet. I finished up day two by clearing out the shower door and the tile on the shower entry. I was not surprised to find the first signs of dry rot on the wood near the floor. Pictures and video of the work are below.
Exposed wall in master bathroom closet. These electrical circuits are in the powder room. I will make them hot by connecting them to the new fuse I installed.

Massive header in the closet door. Not supporting anything but the doorway. No roof support is on this wall. Not sure why this header is here. Maybe it was scrap and the carpenter decided to use it.
Shower rubber linker in the closet wall.

I decided to write this blog entry as I was drawing and then publish the entry when I finish the drawing. This drawing is another in my Oh My Girls series. I chose a picture of Andie McDowell from a L'Oréal ad. I started the drawing the first weekend after returning from a visit to my sister's home in New Jersey for the holidays. I had the blizzard of 2010 fresh on my mind when I was looking through the September 2010 edition of O magazine looking for inspiration. When I saw Andie's picture I selected it and started to draw. I had Ground hog Day in my NetFlix queue so I set the movie to start and went to my work. So much of my art work is influenced by the mash up of music and movies that I have slammed into my mind over the years. Ground Hog Day is one of my all time favorite...
I wanted to have walked 600 miles by the end of April. I fell short by 4 miles. so far this year I have walked 602 miles. When I was young I used to this phrase as my mantra, "Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy". Lately I have had to start using it again so that I can ease up on a few of my self made goals for my exercising activities. It is OK to have golas, but you do not have to be obsessive about meeting them all of the time. Hence the phrase "Take It Easy".
This blog entery gets it title from a phrase in the song Accidents by Thunderclap Newman . I have come to realize that my attitude towards life was shaped in a large way by the music that I listened to as a teen. This song did not fully materialize into my consciousness until after I had completed the Landmark Forum . Once I realized that I could make up games and set goals for myself to help me get what I wanted out of life I truly felt liberated. The key paradigm shift to the accidents song is that when you are complaining about the game you need to hear this as being coached by yourself or your environment. Let me give you a real life example. Right now I am playing a game that I have not played in a long time. The first time that I played this game was when I lived in Portland Oregon. The name of the game is Bike Commute more miles to work than you drive your truck to work . The rules are simple, I will ride my bike to work more than I drive my truck to work. Instead of com...
